SAP Backbone Update – Final Reminder
Over the course of last two years, SAP has reminded its customers through Emails, Blogs, SAP Notes and KBAs, of upcoming changes and necessary actions. More than 90% of SAP’s customer base have moved their systems to connect to SAP via the new HTTP infrastructure. In case you are still accessing the SAP Backbone via the old RFC Channel, our support organization would like to kindly remind you that the RFC channel is being phased out and will soon cease to exist. It shall result in dumps, errors and unnecessary load on systems. It may even indicate that core functions such as SAP Notes download, EWA data exchange and SAP remote services are already failing or will soon start to fail on affected systems. Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI)
The SAP Customer Engagement Initiative enables you, as a SAP customer or partner, to get early insights into SAP’s product developments and directly work with the developers to define and shape future product directions. Three times a year, a list of new projects is offered. In a one-month-registration phase, you can then register for a first (initial) informative call and decide afterwards, if you would like to participate in the projects. The new list of projects will be open for registration from October 12th to November 6th, 2020. Please note that the registration is open to valid S-Users and SAP Ariba Customers only. |
